About the Game

Bread Makes the Heart Aflutter is a romantic, slice-of-life, fantasy visual novel.

It follows Emile Mayer, owner of A Slice of Comfort bakery in the Kingdom of Selias, when the Fae Kingdom's royal procession brings an interesting newcomer into his life.

Bread Makes the Heart Aflutter is available on Windows and Linux.

This game was originally created for Yaoi Game Jam 2025 on Itch.io, which was then touched up for a Steam release with new paid DLC content 0n September 1st 2026.
